WOMEN’S SYMPOSIUM – ROLE OF WOMEN IN FAITH TRADITIONS


The Poway Interfaith Team, which represents fifteen different Faith groups in the Poway and surrounding communities, will be holding a symposium focusing on Women Lay Leaders in various faith traditions.  Non-Clergy speakers from the Bahá’í, Protestant, Catholic, Unification, Mormon, Hindu, Jewish (Conservative and Reform), New Thought, Sufi and Sikh faiths will enlighten audiences as to “How women participate in a meaningful way within their faith’s tradition.”

            The symposium is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, March 6, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Ner Tamid Synagogue, located at 15318 Pomerado Road, Poway.  Each speaker will give a short presentation followed by a question and answer time with the audience.  Light refreshments will be served.  The event is FREE to the public although voluntary donations are greatly appreciated.
